Surely
Ireland's only Prog Rock band Dead Heroes Club is on a mission to rejuvenate
Prog Rock with a modern approach.
The band was formed back in 2004 by the nucleus of vocalist Liam 'Soupy' Campbell, Gerry McGarrigle and drummer Mickey Gallagher. These 3 were tiring of the straight ahead Rock bands they were playing in and wanted to write and record songs in the style of the bands they grew up listening to like Floyd, Genesis, Jethro Tull & YES. They recruited bass player Charlie Coyle and keyboardist Chris Norby then set about creating the music they wanted. In 2005 they released their independently produced and recorded self titled debut album to massive critical acclaim in the World's Prog rock circles. The band then set about playing a series of dates around Ireland to showcase the album. The band are currently (May 2007) in pre-production for their second album which should be released in Autumn 2007. For more information visit
