The ultimate Led Zeppelin experience The Rubber Plants play Masons on Saturday 13th February. Founded in the late 1990’s, The Rubber Plants are a tight, professional Led Zeppelin tribute band, whose dynamic two hour set has been distilled into an exciting mixture of power and innovation, which genuinely captures the spirit of the original masters. http://www.myspace.com/therubberplantsonlineSupport DJ KELLZ DOORS 10pm ADM £5

I'm coming out of Retirement for this gig. It's been a while so hopefully I won't make a tit of myself....well... no more than usual.

Had a scare earlier today when i checked the Plants mySpace and they have the gig listed as last night.... However I'm informed by Kellz it's 100% tonight.
See you later Rockers!

Back from this and what a gig! The Rubber Plants were in excellent form and a really good crowd turned out. A good crowd makes all the difference - and the Plants had everybody rockin and dancing our little hearts out and at the end it was gasping room only in the upstairs bar. Lots of forumites among the crowd and Kellz filled in with tunage before and in the break. Altogether a really great atmosphere! The boys themselves were delighted with the turnout and seemed to enjoy themselves every bit as much as the crowd did. After all our discussions following the Pat McManus gig, I think that answered any questions anyone had about whether Masons could fill their upstairs bar for rock gigs.

What a great night, best turn-out I've seen in Mason's in such a long time. The Rubber Plants were on top form and it was great to hear classic's like In My Time of Dying, Heartbreaker, Living Loving Maid, The Ocean and many more.....
The guys really enjoyed themsleves and it relfected very much in their performance.
Thanks also to everyone for their wonderful company and we had a blast last night from start to finish.

Great to see everyone that trooped up on Saturday night. I thought the lads were on fine, fine form. The crowd, most of whom seemed to land at one time around 11.30 were really up for it. Cool to see a good squad of IAR heads up there. Always nice to see Masons packed & also a mixed crowd of Rockers & civilians.
