The Bank Job. Despite starring the abysmally one dimensional Jason Statham this set in the 70s crime caper by Dick Francis and Ian Le Frenais was actually quite watchable. Some of the dialogue is cringeworthy as are a few of the performances but i've seen worse recently. Talking of worse i have to concur about The Hangover, total arsewipe. :? ROCK ON.

Revolutionary Road. Despite being impeccably acted by Kate Winslet and Leo Di Caprio this goes nowhere fast and is pretty tedious stuff. ROCK ON.

2012. A spectacularly awful movie and one which ably demonstrates that no matter how many millions of dollars you throw at something you can still end up with an embarrassing piece of cinematic garbage. :? ROCK ON.

Typical over-the-top Roland Emmerich disaster-flick bollocks, Gerry.

I think what topped the ice-chasing-people-up-the-street nonsense on The Day After Tomorrow was the shifting of the Earth's crust in 2012 which rather conveniently left our desperate hopefuls right over where they needed to be as opposed to having to ditch in the ocean. Christ on a bike!

I also thought a lot of the effects were pretty shite. The aerial sequence following Cusack's car looked like it was lifted off one of the later GTA games.

Speaking of crap films..... this looks pretty shitty. Doesn't look as good without Englund. Plus Freddy seems to be speaking as if he's doing one of those numbskull WWE pre-scrap mic-offs.

 Agreed John. That limo sequence was laughable as were the plane scenes. CGI has undoubtedly expanded the boundries of movie making and when it is done well it can really add to a movie but when acting and coherent storylines are treated as a poor second to the effects you end up with shite like this.

In The Valley Of Elah. An excellent whodunnit murder movie starring the solid as a rock Tommy Lee Jones ably supported by Susan Sarandon. Thoroughly enjoyable and not a bit of CGI in sight. 8)

ROCK ON.

Harry Brown. An excellent performance by Michael Caine in this bleak Brit made revenge/vigilante thriller. There are some very well played extremely nasty baddies in this as well but Caine dominates every scene he is in. A very good movie indeed which manages to avoid veering too far into the realms of incredulity it no doubt would have had it been made in Hollywood. ROCK ON.

Law Abiding Citizen. Gerard Butler non-acts his way through this ridiculously far-fetched but mostly enjoyable revenge thriller. Jamie Foxx sleepwalks through every scene and it is a shame to see poor Colm Meaney typecast once again as the grumpy sidekick cop, he deserves much better roles than this, preferably ones which don't require him to affect a dreadful US accent. ROCK ON.

Watchmen I'm confused, I can't tell whether I enjoyed this madness or not. Completely different from any other Superhero film I've ever seen & a lot more 'Talky' than the normal fare. The violence was mighty & well done but I'm befuddled. Facking 'ell.

The Hurt Locker. Thoroughly superb from start to finish and you know that any movie that kills off Guy Pearse in the first 5 minutes really means business. 8) I really love the camera work and the realism is second to none. Helmets off to Jeremy Renner in the main role, he is fantastic. All Oscars well deserved for this gem. 8) ROCK ON.

You should really warn people that there are spoilers in your post. If I hadn't seen the film and I'd read that I'd be pretty miffed!
