DANNY BOWES- THUNDER

Danny Bowes has been the lead vocalist with Blues Rockers Thunder since their inception back in early 1989. The band has had many highs & lows over the past 16 odd years, one of the lows being the break up of the band in 2000.

The band reformed in 2002 & have been on a roll ever since. Their latest album 'The magnificent Seventh' is a belter which any fan of dirty riff driven Rock 'n Roll should purchase immediately. We have 2 copies of 'The Magnificent Seventh' to give away but more on that later.....

1. How are you, where are you?
I'm fine and I'm in the management office.

THUNDER2. What's currently happening in Thunder's world?
Lots of shows, lots of mixing, lots of plotting, oh and some writing of songs..

3. What has been the best concert of one of your peers that you have
ever attended?
Bruce Springsteen, Wembley Stadium in 1985. I wasn't looking forward to it but it quite simply blew me away.

4. Do you remember the first place/time you ever stepped on stage, and
what happened?
Yes, I was 15, the power went off halfway through our soundcheck and the gig was cancelled. Seems someone put a pick axe through a major power cable and fried himself, and ruined my gig.

5. What was the first song you ever wrote/performed?
No idea, but Jumping Jack Flash would have been one of the first songs.

6. What performer are you in awe of, and why?
Mr Springsteen, James Brown, that's about it. They're both masters of their art and the crowds love them.

Luke Morley & Danny Bowes7. What have been the high and low points of your career to date?
See answer 4 for low point, high point is hard as there have been many, but Donington in 1990 with 80,000 people was a big moment.

8. If you could tell someone to do something what would it be?
Don't bite your nails, oh and never stand up in a canoe.

9. What is your favourite city to have a show in and why?
No major preference, for me it's about the mix of the band and the crowd rather than the city it's in.

10. What colour is the sky in your world?
Very blue, but isn't it blue everywhere? Oh and can I have some of the same medication you're on please?

No bother Danny, I'll meet you in the bogs in 5 minutes. I think you'll find my prices very reasonable....

Enough of that tomfoolery. We have 2 copies of Thunder's latest album 'The Magnificent Seventh to give away. To be in with a chance to win one just answer the following question...
